I went to Nashville, Tenessee and met an army of musicianaries (musician missionaries) from around the world at a workshop. At night we went out to Broadway to pray for people. Broadway reminded me of 6th Street in Austin so it was almost like home. People walking the streets looking for the next club to go to, bypassing the musicians on the sidewalk just looking for someone to drop a buck or two in their guitar cases on the ground. I met a few of em. Talked with some, prayed with some, and listened to some. I observed how an experience like this was a first time for several of the artists that I was with. It made me think about when I first started street ministry in college. I was with a group of believers called the Rescue Squad and we would pray for people on campus and around the community streets, hospitals, where ever God told us to go. We saw some pretty wild things happen spiritually. Some people don’t believe in demons and demon possession, but if you experienced what I did, you would believe too, if you don’t already. But that’s another topic for another time. Back to Nashville. There was one night that groups of us went out to minister on Broadway again and the group I was with chose a corner under a building with a fish sign, like the one that some Christians have as emblems on the back of cars, like that. A couple of the guys with us brought a guitar and a djembe drum and we started sing worship songs. A few of the emcees in the group began to freestyle as I started beat-boxing and others began sharing their testimonies. A crowd began to grow and from across the street a dude with a bucket walks into the middle of the circle and busts out freestyling about his beliefs and concludes his rhymes by asking about to about salvation. About three emcees took turns at responding to him going back at and forth with him with their flows. The dude got his question answered and wanted to accept Christ so we prayed for him. Soon after he left another man came seeking help with a few dollars to get home and someone gave more than he asked for before he could finish asking. He asked for prayer and we prayed for him as well.
There was another day when we went to University Court, basically the projects. I was told that the people there didn’t think they deserved something like this when people handed out fliers to the community to let them know about the concert we would do. Once we got out there and set up the stage and sound it started to rain but that didn’t stop us. Kids coming home from school on the school bus driving by were so excited. Once the rain cleared up they came out with the rest of the residents and witnessed God taking His love to the streets. The Swordsman who’s been in the Guinness Book of World Records came out and swallowed real swords and daggers while sharing his testimony, proving that God can made us amazing and we just need to believe it. The band that rocked the stage afterward, called A Bride Dressed In Black, brought a Hip-Hop veteran to the scene with them, Kurtis Blow. He’s one down to earth brotha. He talked and took pictures with the people who kept walking up to him looking for his attention. We even shared the stage together when a group of emcees all got in for a freestyle during a song. One of the residents was allowed on stage and challenged Kurtis Blow to a rap battle, and he accepted it and quickly made terms that they would not be talking bad about each other but rapping about God. Both of em’ went in and God got the glory. The people were fed physically and spiritually. Lives were changed for the better. The people were grateful and had a joy that they didn’t have before God showed up through us. This is what ministry is about. Ministry means to serve. This is why I do what I do with music for over 10 years now as a musicianary. It’s not about money, Lord knows for real lol because I know I can get paid very well for the talent and skills I have, and I have before and left it for the sake of spreading the Gospel. It’s not about the fame either. Personally, I’d rather lay low and keep to myself, but what good is that if my purpose is to minister to people around the world? So I look at it like this. Though Jesus was famous and still is, because of His fame, many lives have been changed. The goal is for people to see Jesus through me. So if I do gain fame, I’ll use it to bring glory to His name. What are your gifts and what will you use them for?
I’ve got good news. I just saved a ton of money by switching my car insurance to Gieco! Just kidding lol (that was on a commercial in the US). This is it for real…. I just heard that ABC liked Killer Women and will be airing it this fall. WoooHooooo! I’ll let you know when it will air so you can look for me. I played a cop in one part and in this picture I’m on set at a gala that takes place sometime in the show. This was on one of the longest days we had to shoot and it was freezing cold and rainy that night too. I met some cool people on set though and had a good time with my fellow actors so I can’t complain. Since ABC picked up the show they decided to keep filming it in Austin. Can’t wait to see the show! Keep checking back here at WHOL-E.COM for more updates. God bless ya! – TDG

You can now add me to the list of rappers who play a cop on television lol.
This is from when I was on set for a new show called Killer Women. In the world of television, productions call new shows that have never been aired yet a “pilot”. So what happens is when the filming and editing is done, the producers of the show then give the pilot to the ABC network. If ABC likes it, they will air it on television and then you can see me on it. Hopefully they do! This is one of the most recent ones. I’ve been on shows like The Lying Game on ABC Family where I played a waiter and a valet guy and Friday Night Lights on NBC as a football player and a student, mostly noticed in the season finales. I’ve been in movies such as Two For Texas, Man Of The House, and most recently on Parkland produced by Tom Hanks. I’ll keep you updated on what happens next. God bless! – TDG

Yo! This is an a capella beatbox voice guitar cover of Amazing Grace. I’m a choir director so this like an old-school bluesy gospel style that I used to hear as a kid coming up that’s embedded in my mind and I decided to let it out through this video. Let me know what you think in the comments. Please share this on your facebook wall if you like it, you can use this link http://youtu.be/hadQ-_U31bE. Even though I do each part in one take, it still takes a while to edit videos like these. I may need to upgrade my computer, it’s served me well over the years but I think it’s getting tired of all of my multitasking lol. Hope you enjoy it. God bless! -TDG

I’m thankful for all of you who believe in me. Whether you came to see me perform, got a CD, download, voted for me, gave me an encouraging word, shared my music, told someone about me, or even just liked my page on facebook or followed me on twitter. What God thinks about us matters most, but experiencing love from people allows God to show it through you, and that means a lot to me. I appreciate you for allowing God to use you in this great way, whether you knew it or not, now you do HAHA! But for real though, I recorded my first solo album 10 years ago. On this journey I’ve created three albums with multiple singles and international collaborative projects, been an independent artist, been signed, been independent again, struggled and thrived. Along the way I’ve wondered at times if this is what I should really be doing. I’ve had a couple people tell me I shouldn’t, but thousands have told me to never stop. Writing lyrics, producing instrumentals, audio engineering, recording vocals, mixing, mastering, arranging, getting CDs printed, copyrighting songs, creating graphics, promoting, touring, and driving many hours from venue to venue with little rest can quickly get overwhelming, especially if you do most of it by yourself. But, when those of you who have expressed how the music I made helped you in some way, it helps me keep going. And I truly love y’all for that. Have a blessed day everyone! – TDG
Smiley-D and I teamed up again, this time with SnegMan of Troyanski Virus all the way from Russia! SnegMan raps his verse in Russian and he produced the beat. Once I heard it the words came to me. It’s basically about how we met online and made the collaboration happen. Here’s my verse. “From Russia to USA, from USA to Russia / got a track, wrote a rap, sent it back, to anotha / brotha from anotha motha / who made a suggestion we should collab and make a song togetha / I’m like cool! So here it is / you’re listening to some American dudes with some Russian dudes / It’s crazy! Who would’a knew? God knew / they’d watch my video on youtube / with Smiley-D rapping bout how The Choice Is Yours dude / divine appointment over twitter / International Communication now here’s a winner / a gold medal, nah, make it bigger, a gold record / when you cooperate with God It Will Be Better / No Matter how much chedda, or things you possess / add it all up it will still be less / than what you take with you when you leave this earth / that’s why you gotta put God first / International Communication…”
Did you notice how many of my song titles I mentioned in the lyrics?

Hey, I hope the beginning of 2013 is going well for you. January went by fast didn’t it? Some great things have been happening here lately. I’m experimenting with a new way of creating music. Beatbox voice guitar. As a producer, when I produce instrumentals, I tend to beatbox how it sounds in my mind and later play it on drums, piano, guitar, or what ever instruments or sythnesizers the sound requires. So, I figured I should let you see how I create music organically on video. Here is the first of many to come http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCKwDeNLWHS5MPfINnd4WRoCV3yBV1FKY
If you like it please share it on facebook. If you can think of a popular song that you would like me to cover, tell me in the comments on the video. Thanks and have a blessed day!

Happy new year!!! This is the official 2013 online re-release of my sophomore album FOCUS. For those who have seen me perform songs such as “The BIBLE Song”, “Are You Ready”, “Leaning”, and wondered where to get them, here it is! The FOCUS album covers feature artwork by yours truly, TDG, a self portrait and a portrait of Jesus with a reflection of the cross made from scratch with only a computer and mouse (see both images here http://official.fm/playlists/ujT0). The album artwork displays how the more we focus on Christ, the more we look like Christ. Why Christ? Because God is love, and love is all everyone needs and searches for in life. Christ described Himself as “one with the Father” (John 10:30) and as “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). If we choose to abide in Christ, we abide in God. Ok I’m preachin’ now lol, here’s more about the music. Orignally released on Amazon in 2008, this album has a fun and lively kind of vibe. It’s music you can dance to. Also it’s music that helps you learn about what God deems as important, what we should focus on in life. “The Best Book” aka BIBLE Song lyric video went viral on YouTube and people around the world are still learning how to recite the books of the Bible through the song. “Wake Up” and “The Power of Music” are featured on the controversial 8-part viral video series “Hip Hop Is A Religion” on YouTube which expresses the purpose and truth about music with a focus on the 5th element of HipHop culture and it’s deterimental status. In the series popular artists explain how rappers are preachers and how the concerts and clubs are just like church. It’s really interesting, youtube it. “Leaning” a crowd favorite has youth ready to get up, dance and snap-wit-it. Check out the video http://youtu.be/zzCp_ZdJhIo . The album concludes with the mild, mid tempo r&b/pop style track “Waiting For You.” All songs on FOCUS were produced by me and provide an incredible value that is priceless. But you can get it for just 5 bucks. If you enjoy FOCUS, please share it with your friends and family. God bless ya!
